morris wedding

A little rain couldn't stop this day from being absolutely perfect and gorgeous. Caitlin and Addison are one of the sweetest couples I've ever had the pleasure of working with, and I don't know if I have ever met a couple more excited to be married to each other as these two were. The morning began with Addison, his groomsmen, and his family getting ready for the day at The Scarlet Hotel and the bride with her favorite people at the home the couple shared in Lincoln, Nebraska.

With excitement pouring out of everyone, it came time for the first looks. Caitlin and the father-of-the-bride had their grand reveal in the front yard of her beloved home and it brought tears to everyone's eyes.

Then came the moment they'd been anticipating all morning. Addison stood in the park where he proposed to Caitlin and she excitedly walked the block to get to him. It was joy personified in them. I can't accurately explain what a precious moment this was, so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

They then exchanged private vows and were soon surrounded by their families and friends for portraits in the park.

Just before the rain came in a quick, sweeping downpour, everyone met back at the house for touchups and to enjoy some food and drinks before heading to the church for the ceremony.

A joyous cheer rung out among the guests and now it was time to celebrate! All aboard the party bus!

A quick pit stop at Hudl - the place where the love birds work and first met - with their work besties for a picture, as well as a stop at their future home to take the first of many milestone portraits in front of the house.

After dancing and singing and popping champagne, the wedding party arrived at Morris Acres where the celebration would continue. We did more portraits with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, then the crew made their grand entrance into the reception where the bride and groom started their party with their first dance as husband and wife.

They shared laughs and drinks and food with their guests before we stole them away for a bit to get some dreamy sunset pictures... the sun decided to peek out just in time.

The couple walked hand in hand back to the festivities taking place in the tent that Caitlin perfectly curated and decorated to hear toasts from their best friends and for spotlight dances with their parents. Both of these were an incredible display of how loved they are as individuals and together as a couple. Our night with them ended with cake cutting, a champagne toast, and the live band singing out into the night with the voices of guests joining in. The dance floor was a representation of the excitement, love, and happiness displayed throughout the day and it was the perfect way to end it.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Morris. Cheers to your beautiful life together!
